FO2W Awarded $10,000 Grant from Fayetteville Junior League

We are thrilled to announce that Fish Out Of Water Career Development Center, Inc. has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Community Assistance Program Grants Committee of the Junior League of Fayetteville, Inc. (JLF)! This generous funding will support our Anchors and Bullies program, which empowers young athletes by providing both essential football safety equipment and character-building instruction.

Through this initiative, we will equip The Bully’s little league football team (ages 10-12) in Fayetteville, NC with helmets, shoulder pads, padded pants, and expert-led training. More than just a sports program, Anchors and Bullies integrates lessons on sportsmanship, leadership, healthy relationships, self-regulation, emotional management, boundaries, confidence, and community service. Trained staff will lead a positive youth development curriculum that aligns with the team’s physical training to ensure well-rounded growth for every player.

The young athletes and coaches are excited for the upcoming season, especially after making it to the championship last year. With this generous support, we are building a winning system—both on and off the field!

We are deeply grateful to the Junior League of Fayetteville for their commitment to advancing women’s leadership and making a meaningful impact in our community. Their dedication to volunteer action, collaboration, and training continues to change lives, and we are honored to be a part of their mission.

Thank you for believing in our youth and the power of sports, mentorship, and community support!
